I Wish That I Was a Faery
I wish that I was a Faery
And could soar above the trees,
Flutter on my gossamer wings
And glide upon the breeze.
I wish that I was a Faery
With petal dress and wand,
I could drift over the garden,
And bathe in the pond.
I wish that I was Faery
With flowers in my hair,
Then I could visit others
And take away their care.
I wish that I was a Faery
Then I could dance and sing,
And join my other faery friends
Around the faery ring.
I wish that I was a Faery
And could sit on the toadstools bright,
I would play all day in the garden
And rest by the moon’s sweet light.

This would have to be my favourite of all time. How lovely to fly around on gossamer wings, although i did for a while there.
